Custom reports are one of the biggest bottlenecks in laboratory operations — lab managers wait on IT, or learn SQL, or go without. Catalyst puts reporting back in the hands of the people who know the lab, using natural language, while keeping patient data completely private.

Data assistant
Generate custom reports and dashboard widgets from natural-language prompts. "Monthly HIV viral load summary by facility" returns exactly that — chat mode, wizard mode, and scheduling.
Context-aware help
Press for help from any screen and get answers based on your current page and role — natural-language questions, video tutorials, and guided walkthroughs.
Visual form builder
Design custom order-entry screens by drag-and-drop instead of editing configuration by hand — describe what you need and build compliant forms.
Privacy-first by design
The AI only ever sees your database schema — never patient data. Queries are generated by the model, but results are fetched and displayed entirely within OpenELIS, on your infrastructure. Deploy the language model locally, on a shared Ministry server, or via a cloud API — your choice — and when it's unavailable, a traditional query builder keeps reporting working.
