WHO WE HELP AND WHY

We help communities all over the world. Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) have the capacity to improve clinical decision making and quality of care at site level but can also be leveraged to make data-driven, population-level public health decisions.

MORE ON OPENELIS GLOBAL

OpenELIS was created as a collaboration between Minnesota and Iowa for public health laboratories as both a software and business process framework for the robust functioning of public health laboratories. They continue to be the developers for this version. The software has been released as open source under the Mozilla license.

GET INVOLVED

OpenELIS Global is stewarded by the University of Washington International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH). For specifics of I-TECH’s work in two countries where OpenELIS Global is being implemented: I-TECH in Haiti, I-TECH in Côte d’Ivoire.
